This reverts commit a2ddd3643e.
@peti pointed out that python2.6 packages are now prefered over
python2.7. In a local test it was the other way round. seems to be
arbitrary or I messed up the test.
Setting $TZDIR to ${pkgs.tzdata}/share/zoneinfo can cause logged-in
sessions to refer to a garbage-collected zoneinfo directory. So use
/etc/zoneinfo instead.
We don't need to set $TZ, because we have /etc/localtime. In fact,
setting $TZ without $TZDIR doesn't work anymore since Glibc no longer
contains zone info.
Git's Makefile has a NO_INSTALL_HARDLINKS flag to produce symlinks
instead of hard links. However, it still produces hard links between
$out/bin and $out/libexec, hence the patch.
Also, update Git to 1.8.2.1.
If I want to bring down tap0.service (or systemd wants to do this
during a configuration-change which changes the path to tunctl),
openvpn (or other services using tap0) need to be brought down as
well, otherwise tunctl -d is not able to remove the tap0 device,
leaving it in a failed (but "up") state.
"require" is a stronger version of "want",
and just like wantedBy allows you to specify this relation in reverse,
requiredBy does the same.
It may seem pointless to be able to specify these stronger relations in
reverse, because if something is really required, you would expect the
other unit to specify this himself.
However, this is still useful for virtual/automatic units (like
devices) that are created by systemd on demand and hence have no unit
file you can alter.
for `nix-env -i` the later defined python27Packages seems to win.
Another solution might be to have python26 oder python27 either in the
name or the version. Let's have a look at haskelPackages for that.
gets rid of the dependency on the old gnupg1. and enables decryption
even if the gpg binary is not in the users environment.
warning: i don't know whether the switch from gnupg1 to gnupg
introduces any incompatibilities. this is a works for me patch.
Most of the stuff was duplicated (headers, the core library).
The new solution makes the _qt4 package use the _glib one,
because it depended on glib through cairo anyway
(and _glib bindings themselves are just ~350kB).
This also fixes a problem that mergeAttrsByFuncDefaultsClean
didn't merge patches, which affected dbus.libs.
