Well, this is the first public release of the Renegade ATM door. A door that
has been through rigorous Alpha Testing prior to release. This TEST DRIVE (TD)
version does not support the bulletins or logs simply because I have not
completed them yet. I wrote this door because I wanted a better Time bank than
the one built into Renegade. I have released this TD version to satisfy all
those sysops out there that are craving for a program like this.

This shareware TEST DRIVE version is as fully functional as its registered
counterpart, with the exception of the "Evaluation Copy" line of the info
window. This will be replaced by the name of you or your organization upon
registration. The Information window will be shown automatically everytime
you start the program in unregistered mode. There is a short timed delay,
however, and a simply keypress will dispose of the info window.

This program was designed for use with IBM compatible personal computer
systems, with 640K minimum RAM and preferably a color monitor. This program is
meant to run with the RENEGADE BBS system only with ANSI.SYS loaded. This
version is ANSI-Only. Future releases will support ASCII and RIP.

First things first:
Create a directory to hold the system files. Run RGATM.EXE, it will create
an ASCII file called RGATM.CFG with the configuration. It will also open an
account and create RGATM.DB.

ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß
When the ATM is used for the first time, your account will be initialized with
ZERO balances. The ATM stores TIME, CREDITS and KBYTES separately from
Renegade, it will *not* reflect time stored in your regular RG Time Bank. A lot
of care was taken during the coding of this program to avoid abuse by users. It
allows the SysOp to limit everything including the interest rates (which is
random). A lot of suggestions by Alpha Sites have been included in this program
and the registered version may contain more features.
The following is the sequence of procedures:
1. Search for client's account.
2. If not found then create one.
3. Perform maintainence on account if needed.
4. If client's loan is past due (over 7 days) then retrieve from collateral.
5. Display any waiting messages.
6. Display Opening Screen.
7. Display Menu.
Details of MENU:
1. Time Transactions - Store, Withdraw, Purchase, Borrow
2. Credit Transactions - "
3. Byte Transactions - "
4. Other Transactions - Transfer Time, Credit, Bytes to another user
- Remove bad debits
- Update ATM account (sysop only)
- Delete ATM account (sysop only)
- View ATM accounts (sysop only)
5. Quit - Return to BBS
NOTES ON LOANS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loans may not exceed that amount set as maximum in the configuration. They are
backed up by collateral in the ATM, RG Time bank and Online Assets. After 7
days when a client enters the ATM, it will search to retrieve and clear out the
loan with the following priority:
1. Stored deposits in the ATM.
2. Stored deposits in the RG Bank.
3. Online assets (time, credits, upload bytes).
Loans are nice and easy to get, but remember that INTEREST will be charged
daily on any outstanding balance. The ATM will take everything if you owe more
than you currently have (re-possession), so please make your users aware of
this.
NOTES ON LOAN RE-PAYMENT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loans are re-paid automatically without the client intervening. The ATM will
automatically take away what's owed (plus interest) from what the client has
stored or online. This occurs after the 7th day of the loan. As soon as the
client enters the ATM the amount owed will be deducted in full.
NOTES ON THE BAR CHART
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The vertical bar chart offers the client a quick glimpse of his account stats
in a graphical way. It shows the percentage of his current funds stored vs his
account limit. For example, if a client has 50 mins stored and the account
limit is 100 max, then half of the bar chart will be filled.
NOTES ON OTHER TRANSACTIONS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can transfer funds to another user provided that:
1. That user has an account in the ATM Bank.
2. That user is NOT yourself (why would you give yourself your funds?).
3. The "amt transfered" + "amt stored" by other user does not exceed the max
provided for by the sysop.
4. You have sufficient funds to make the transfer valid.

/R = Use the DORINFO#.DEF drop file

RGATM will sense when it needs to do maintainece of accounts and do so when
needed. It usually takes a few seconds more during entry to the ATM. Users
should not be concerned.

Please, support the shareware concept, folks. This program is not crippled
for one simple reason: I can't stand crippleware! You are free to evaluate
the system in its entirety. No features have been disabled.

[ OUR SHAREWARE POLICIES TO ENSURE USER PROTECTION ]
04-11-94
Most software released into the SHAREWARE market today offers its
users little or no protection. At PERSoftWare Intl (PSI) we are
committed to QUALITY and producing a SUPERIOR product. Users shouldn't
just run the software and hope for the best. If you took the time to
acquire this software through disk copying or downloading (at your
expense) then you deserve some type of protection.
Hence, we have adopted the following standards:
[1] Source code is *not* available to the general public to prevent bogus
or unauthorized modifications of our programs.
[2] All executables are compressed and non-expandable through normal means.
This makes our programs smaller and also adds a hindrance to anyone
trying to use a disk editor to modify the program.
[3] Programs are either "coated" with an anti-virus program supplied
directly by McAfee or contains an invisible self-check procedure that
would check for changes in program code after compilation (which would
indicate hacking or a virus infection). If our programs detect a
change, they will alert you and refuse to run.
[4] Our programs are copyrighted automatically to provide legal protection
for our intellectual property and to protect our clients from a
proliferation of illegal copies.
[5] You're entitled to a FULL refund (minus shipping/handling) of any
registration fees paid, if the software fails to perform as expected
within thirty (30) days of receipt.
[6] Our PFA (Pollution Free Archive) policy specifically prohibits
Bulletin Boards and other users from inserting files of any nature
into our archives. We equate this process of archive pollution to
"tampering with the mail". No one would like the US Post Office to
open their mail and insert ads into it without their permission.
Archive comments (displayed during decompression) are excluded.
[7] All our programs are Alpha-tested throughly by sites across the US
and around the globe, prior to release.
