With this disabled, cameras would not get a `/dev/mediaX` entry matching
the `/dev/videoX` which broke any application (e.g: `uvcdynctrl -l`,
`media-ctl -p`) depending on this interface.
- Now simply let the default `unpackPhase` unzip the vsix file. This
should allow users to retrieve the extension directly from github.
- Extensions now installed using their unique id as install folder.
- Extensions under `vscode-extensions` now use the unique id
as extension name.
Fix missing icon. It was looking for a "scanner" device
icon that can be only found as part of gnome3 default theme.
Copied this device icon and renamed it as *the* simple-scan
application icon.
Recent merge of pull request #14681 broke
the build of some texlive components (e.g.: `xetex`)
that do not include the `./share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf`.
This fix should allow these component to build
as before by operating on this file only when
it exits.
A sane backend for recent brother scanners.
Depends on the presence of etc files generated by the
nixos module of the same name.
Supports network scanner specification through the
nixos module.
`cp`, `grep`, `chmod`, `sed` executables
no longer found when upgrading from nixos
15.09 to 16.03. Fixed by use of wrapper
script that brings these executables into
`PATH`.
Also fix lpd binaries on 64 bits machines
by use of `callPackage_i686`.
- Added missing freedesktop items (`*.desktop` and icon).
Note that for the moment, only added an `*.svg`
icon as was the only available. It does not give
us the best results (at least in xfce). We may decide
later on to extract the content of the `*.ico` instead
which is a bit more involved.
- Now usable in non kde desktop environments.
Build a immutable sycoca database and use
wrappers to tie programs to this
database and avoid interference from the
outside by specifying a fixed `KDELIBS`
and fixed/empty `XDG_DATA_DIRS`.
Added missing dependencies to syscoca
database so that the program is complete.
Added all build time optional packages.
Kipi-plugins now properly detected. Added
almost all optional dependencies so that
almost all plugins are usable.
Now with vlc phonon backend for video playback.
Now with ffmpeg thumbnailer for video items
thumbnail creation.
Now run without any error log.
Tests:
- Ran most features of the standard program. Everything
work perfectly without error logs.
- Ran some of the kipi plugins. Work fine there too.
- Ran face detection and fingerprint generation
successfully.
- Oxygen icons are now displayed properly.
- Ran other wrapped executable successfully.
`*.desktop` file now:
- Refers to an icon.
- Is placed in the proper category (based on comparison with `keepassx2`.
- Has proper mime type (also based on comparison).
Also, now use `icoutils` to extract icons from the application ressouces
and transform them from `*.ico` to `*.png`. Created and used a generic
script that has the ability to move the extracted `*.png` to their
appropriate standard freedesktop location.
Tested this on nixos. `keepass` now has a icon and is categorized
in the same bin as `keepassx2`. The program still execute and
function prefectly.
- Replace non freedesktop `CAD` desktop category
by categories taken from debian's desktop item.
This make the desktop items appear under the
`Graphic` category in DE menus instead of `Others`.
- Moved to new package icons as specified by
upstream release notes.
- Moved to icon name instead of full path to
a single icon as specified by freedesktop
specification.
- Human readable desktop item names.
Add the possibility to specify plugin set to
be used as overridable `thunar` derivation argument.
New nixos config attribute:
`services.xserver.desktopManager.xfce.thunarPlugins`
that allows user to specify plugins in the context
of nixos.
Tests:
- With and without plugins.
- Using the nixos attributes.
Close#10867.
It means that settings couldn't be saved. The issue appeared
since upgrade to nixos 15.09 and fall as part of #4415.
Tested on nixos.
- No longer has a stderr when running the application.
- Settings are effectively saved.
Removed impurities automatically added
to listings derived from both `XDG_CONFIG_DIRS`
and `XDG_DATA_DIRS` that refers to hardcoded
paths.
This shoud allow us to use `kbuildsycoca4` tool
at build time, generating identical builds of
the database independent on the distribution
nix is based on.
Tests:
- Built as part of digikam package which make use
of this syscoca builder tool at build time to
generate an immutable database. Everything still
run fine.
A `thunar` plugin that adds archive manipulation features to
right click on file/directory menu. It can use either gnome or
kde archive managers. Detection of backend based on
`*.desktop` files mime types.
Should supercede non-functional pre-existing
`xfce.thunar_archive_plugin` (which for some
unknown reason is building the volume manager
plugin).
Also removed `xfce.thunar_archive_plugin` because
superceded.
Tests:
- When plugin package is installed, the supplementary
menu entries appear in thunar.
- Succesfully extracted an archive using backend
`file-roller` through thunar menu entry.
+ minor changes from vcunat, mainly meta.
Also adapted package's freedesktop item install
script so that it works in the context of nix.
(i.e.: icons and `*.desktop` file now properly
installed by the package).
A thunar dropbox plugin that allows to copy links and
add files to dropbox.
Depends on new `xfce.thunarx-2-dev` plugin sdk package instead of
thunar. Doing so seem standard on other distributions such as
Ubuntu and narrows depedencies to only the sdk headers (i.e.:
what's needed by plugins).
Note that replacing the `xfce.thunarx-2-dev` dependency directly
by `xfce.thunar` work equally well. However it now would be
impossible for the `thunar` executable to depend on the plugin.
Tests:
- When dropbox daemon active, functionalities are added
to right click on file and folders menu.
- When dropbox daemon inactive, functionalities **not** added
to menu.
- Successfully copied a dropbox link.
- Successfully moved a file to dropbox.
Improve thunar/thunarx so that thunar's plugin directory
could be overriden using a `THUNARX_MODULE_DIR`
environment variable so that plugins not built along
with the `thunar` package could be installed as well.
This could allow one to wrap `thunar` in a `thunar-with-plugins`
package where plugins are declared instead of being found (a
bit in the same fashion as gstreamer plugins).
Icons no longer missing (fix#5509).
In `*.desktop` files:
- Replaced absolute path to the the store by the program name.
This is so that files can be dragged elsewhere by the user
(e.g.: desktop, bar) and still work after upgrade + garbage
collection and can be shared between machines.
- Replace program name `soffice` by program name `libreoffice`
so that we're sure the desktop file really refers to our
package's binary and not start office or open office.
Add the possibility of building without the help. This build is
not modular and take a really long time to complete so I want
a mean of improving shortcuts without having to rebuild the
whole thing (see #899). A wrapper script is the next step.
Tested (build and ran the program) with `en_US` only and
without the help module.
This breakage was cause by the package outputing its own
version of index.cache to `share/icons/hicolor`.
Used the `hicolor_icon_theme` hook to perform automated cleanup.
- Pass the gstreamer plugins as a list attribute instead of
individual attributes.
+ This should allow for greater customization (e.g.: a
user can add / remove plugins by overriding
the plugin list attribute).
This is the same technique as used for wrapping chrome
with gstreamer plugins.
- Moved integration of gstreamer plugins, spotify
library and clementine into a wrapper derivation.
+ This should allow a user to change the gstreamer
plugin set and activate / deactivate the spotify
plugin without triggering a whole rebuild of the
clementine sources (which is pretty long).
