Previously, `vfs_snapper` was only built if `dbus` was found.
Now, `vfs_snapper` is enabled by default (on Linux)
and it requires dbus to be available:
```
Checking for dbus: not found
vfs_snapper is enabled but prerequisite dbus-1 package not found. Use
--with-shared-modules=!vfs_snapper to disable vfs_snapper support.
```
We could pass `--with-shared-modules=!vfs_snapper` to disable it,
but currently pass `--with-shared-modules=ALL`,
so add dbus as a dependency instead.
When using the Modern config from the Mozilla SSL config generator,
the `ssl_ciphers` parameter does not need to be set
as only TLSv1.3 is permitted and all of its ciphers are reasonable.
Release notes: https://www.samba.org/samba/history/samba-4.10.2.html
Notably, Samba 4.10.0 is the first with Python 3 support,
and the 4.10 line will be the last supporting Python 2,
so switch to Python 3.
Add myself as a maintainer.
pybcrypt has had open vulnerabilities for years
and is unlikely to ever be updated;
there are no users in nixpkgs.
Other alternatives such as the `bcrypt` python module are available.
I want to manage users centrally via declarativeUsers,
but allow users to change their shell as they please,
similar to how they can change passwords at will
if none of the password-related NixOS settings are set for their user.
This allows non-declarative users to change their login shells.
https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/41966 will make this possible
for declarative users as well if the system config explicitly allows it.
The version was bumped in #36081,
but the dependencies were not updated,
causing Vagrant to fail at runtime.
Fix the dependencies (via bundix),
and add an `installCheckPhase` to the derviation
to catch this in the future.
Don't default `doCheck` to false,
and use the default set of phases
so the phases list does not need to be overriden
in order to add checkPhase or installCheckPhase.
This can be disabled with the `withKerberos` flag if desired.
Make the relevant assertions lazy,
so that if an overlay is used to set kerberos to null,
a later override can explicitly set `withKerberos` to false.
Don't build with GSSAPI by default;
the patchset is large and a bit hairy,
and it is reasonable to follow upstream who has not merged it
in not enabling it by default.

This is not quite as elegant as using `bundlerApp`,
which I could not get working.
However, this still uses most of the Ruby infrastructure,
including stock bundix, and should be fairly reasonable to maintain.
This means no more hacks to work around wrong embedded binaries,
and no need for an old version of Ruby.
Note that `vagrant share` is no longer included,
as that functionality is closed-source
and not present in the upstream source code.
The Vagrant maintainers publish official Vagrant installers,
which they prefer people use as most platforms don't
have great support for pinning known-good dependencies.
When run outside one of the offical installers,
Vagrant normally prints a warning to that effect.
However, Vagrant does run outside the installer environment
(nominally to support Vagrant development),
and this has the effect of functioning better by respecting
OS certs and shared libraries,
as opposed to trying to use bundled versions.
To keep these postive side effects without having to see the warning
on every Vagrant invocation, patch out the call to print the warning.
Note that I have reset the maintainers since the implementation is
totally redone; I'm happy to re-add any of the current maintainers.
This just defers to `fetchurl` for fetching.
Additionally, update the `nix-bundle-install.rb` script to handle gems
installed from a path, i.e. those with a `url` source.
Some parts of that script have been disabled in the `path` case
that likely shouldn't be, but cause errors and aren't necessary to get
`vagrant` to work.
Keep the `source` attrset distinct to prevent its entries from merging
with the top level attrs.
Since each type of source has a different set of entries for `source`,
this is the easiest way to keep them together.
This will pave the way for a new `url` type of source.
This is a mass-rebuild of many ruby packages,
notably those using `git` type sources.
This allows patching the gemset output by bundix from a default.nix
file, making it easier to perform updates since the bundix update no
longer has to be manually updated.
This enables groff to correctly respond to the LESS_TERMCAP_*
environment variables, allowing colorized man pages.
Patch is taken from Arch Linux;
see https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33760.
Meta attributes types are now enforce as of commit
90b9719f4f,
so ensure meta.priority is always set to an integer.
This fixes evaluation of `linuxPackages_latest.virtualbox`
(the impetus for this commit)
and other packages that use lowPrio or hiPrio.
Release notes are available at https://www.openssh.com/txt/release-7.5.
Mostly a bugfix release, no major backwards-incompatible changes.
Remove deprecated `UsePrivilegeSeparation` option,
which is now mandatory.
The Yama Linux Security Module restricts the use of ptrace so that
processes cannot ptrace processes that are not their children. This
prevents attackers from compromising one user-level processes and
snooping on the memory and runtime state of other processes owned
by the same user.
This is similar to `overrideDerivation`, but overrides the arguments to
`mkDerivation` instead of the underlying `derivation` call.
Also update `makeOverridable` so that uses of `overrideAttrs` can be
followed by `override` and `overrideDerivation`, i.e. they can be
mix-and-matched.
jq has not had a release since v1.5 in August 2015, so backport both of
these patches (the fix for CVE-2015-8863 is in the current master, while
the fix for CVE-2016-4074 is not yet in master).
