because there's the added urgency of powerdns security issues forcing a

Robert Scott cb0028b449 pythonPackages.cartopy: fix tests for py2.7 by supplying them with xvfb 
python 2.7's tk is over-eager in trying to open an x display,
so run it in xvfb. xvfb is quite a heavy dependency (albeit only
a build-time one), so ensure this is only used when needed.

Robert Scott 7451a6a107 pythonPackages.purepng: fix for py3.7, enable tests 
the pypi package includes pre-cythonized versions of some components,
however these were cythonized with a py3.7-unaware cython which is what
caused the main breakage. fetching the equivalent version from github
allows us to offer either the pure-python version or one we cythonize
ourselves if the cython package is provided.

the added bonus of using a github checkout is that the tests are included,
so enable these.

these tests revealed that for full py3.7 compatibility an additional patch
is needed from an upstream PR.

Robert Scott d40894cbea pythonPackages.box2d: remove unnecessary pkgs-box2d buildInput 
this dependency turns out to be completely unnecessary - the pypi
package includes its own bundled copy of the source (i know - ew.)
and building without pkgs-box2d results in a binary-identical .so.

this has the side-effect of enabling this package on darwin, which was
previously restricted by the apparently linux-only pkgs-box2d.

Robert Scott 9b69cf0865 pythonPackages.ColanderAlchemy: mark as broken for colander >1.6.0 (#59975) 
ColanderAlchemy doesn't seem to have been updated for colander 1.7.0,
or at least its tests haven't been and we get a single, subtle test
failure around null handling which I don't feel comfortable skipping.
Issue filed upstream https://github.com/stefanofontanelli/ColanderAlchemy/issues/107

users that really need this will have to feed in their own pinned
colander package.

modified copy of part of the main pyramid test suite. presumably this
line simply never got converted - change it to match the similar

Robert Scott 9ca4f39b97 python.pkgs.python-gnupg: disable failing test test_search_keys 
reading the code, it's hard to see how this test was *ever* supposed to
pass. interestingly, peeking across the fence, guix have disabled this test
too for the same reason.

note that tests don't actually run *at all* on py27 but that's a problem
for another day
