Anders Kaseorg 20a63c490f haskellPackages.Agda: Fix build for ghc 8.10.2 → 8.10.3 upgrade
Commit 1998b95adc “haskellPackages:
update default compiler from ghc 8.10.2 to version 8.10.3” broke Agda
because Agda.cabal incorrectly declares a transformers dependency only
for ghc < 8.10.3:

    if impl(ghc >= 8.6.4) && impl(ghc < 8.10.3)
      build-depends: transformers == 0.5.6.2

    if impl(ghc >= 8.4) && impl(ghc < 8.6.4)
      build-depends: transformers == 0.5.5.0

    if impl(ghc < 8.4)
      build-depends: transformers == 0.5.2.0

leading to this error:

    src/full/Agda/Utils/Maybe.hs:13:1: error:
    Could not load module ‘Control.Monad.Trans.Maybe’
    It is a member of the hidden package ‘transformers-0.5.6.2’.
    Perhaps you need to add ‘transformers’ to the build-depends in your .cabal file.
    Use -v (or `:set -v` in ghci) to see a list of the files searched for.

Anders Kaseorg 49bd6654cf gnome3.mutter334: Use full sysprof
Commit 56b9441563 (#101528) incorrectly
switched mutter and mutter334 from full sysprof to libsysprof-capture,
causing channel-blocking build failures:

Commit 752773e0a4 (#103142) reverted only

Anders Kaseorg da5401e022 nixos/gdm: Conflict plymouth-quit, but more carefully
To avoid extra flickering on boot, we want GDM to tell Plymouth to
quit after GDM takes control of the display. That configuration was
reverted in #71065 because it caused ‘nixos-rebuild switch’ to bring
down the graphical session. The reason was that if multi-user.target
wants plymouth-quit.service which conflicts display-manager.service,
then when ‘nixos-rebuild switch’ starts multi-user.target,
display-manager.service is stopped so plymouth-quit.service can be
started. We avoid this problem by removing WantedBy:
multi-user.target from plymouth-quit.service.

Anders Kaseorg f4b2c9dfe7 cryptsetup, lvm2, systemd: Break cyclic dependency at a different point
The cyclic dependency of systemd → cryptsetup → lvm2 → udev=systemd
needs to be broken somewhere. The previous strategy of building
cryptsetup with an lvm2 built without udev (#66856) caused the
installer.luksroot test to fail. Instead, build lvm2 with a udev built
without cryptsetup.

Anders Kaseorg 665dfc26ed libversion: Fix unsafe concatenation of $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Naive concatenation of $LD_LIBRARY_PATH can result in an empty
colon-delimited segment; this tells glibc to load libraries from the
current directory, which is definitely wrong, and may be a security
vulnerability if the current directory is untrusted. This particular
case probably has no security relevance, but we should avoid this
unsafe pattern anyway in case it gets copied. See #76804.

imagemagickBig and imagemagick7Big were marked broken in #55634 due
to #55118. #57313 fixed the bug but reverted the broken bit only on
imagemagickBig. Revert it on imagemagick7Big too.

Anders Kaseorg 291499d10e lxd: Provide apparmor_parser
Previously, lxd would complain about apparmor_parser being missing:

lxd[1037]: lvl=warn msg="AppArmor support has been disabled because 'apparmor_parser' couldn't be found" t=2018-11-19T18:32:47-0800

We need to provide a wrapped apparmor_parser that knows where to find
<tunables/global>, which is #included by lxd’s generated profiles.
