- Add coreutils to PATH, because the xdg scripts use other not yet
provided coreutils like head.
This makes the custom 'cut' and 'sort' functions obsolete.
Remove double quotes around $out because $out contains no Bash field separators.
- Replace all instances of 'which' with 'type -P'.
The previous sed command only replaced instances with a leading space.
xchg is advertised as a bidirectional exchange dir, but file content
transfer from host to VM fails due to caching:
If a file is read in the VM and then modified on the host, subsequent
re-reads in the VM can yield old, cached data.
This is caused by the use of 9p's cache=loose mode that is explicitly
meant for read-only mounts.
9p doesn't provide any suitable cache modes, so fix this by disabling
caching.
Also, remove a now unnecessary sync in the test driver.
These syncs have the goal to transfer host filesystem changes to the VM,
but they have no effect because 1) syncing in the VM can't possibly pull
in host data and 2) 9p is accessing the host filesystem on the cached
layer anyways, so even syncing on the host would have no effect in the
VM.
The codec format 'unicode_escape' was introduced in 52ee102 to handle
undecodable bytes in boot menus.
This made the problem worse as unicode chars outside of iso-8859-1
produce garbled output and valid utf-8 strings (such as "\x" ) trigger
decoding errors.
Fix this by using the default 'utf-8' codec and by explicitly ignoring
decoding errors.
This system type was previously broken but is now fixed.
Add it here to showcase the common task of launching a fully-fledged Android
system with an included app store.
Tesseract is now decoupled from the tessdata language corpus.
This avoids recompilation when building Tesseract with a custom set
of languages.
Update k2pdfopt to use the new wrapper interface.
This fixes some quirks I introduced in previous commits.
1. No need for an extra newline when printing the output of shell commands.
2. 'or die' is what's already used in the NixOS test sources, while
'die unless' has no occurrences.
The improved lspci command shows all available ethernet controllers and
their kernel modules. Previously, the user had to provide the slot name
of a specific device.
1. Simplify the command by reading directly from /etc/machine-id which
is already a random, lower-case hex string
2. Previously, the command output could be too short because of missing
leading digits. This is now fixed.
Use example package `zerobin` instead of `bepasty-server` which
is no longer part of python-packages.
This fixes the examples for current nixpkgs versions.
1. Use the same approach like in the overlay example:
Override `python` instead of `pythonPackages` so that
`python.pkgs` refers to the new package set like `pythonPackages`.
This also fixes a bug in the original example where
`pkgs.fetchgit` was not in scope.
Add an extra example to illustrate how to override just a
package set.
2. Fix mix-up between `super` and `self` in the explanation text.
Also, simplify the explanation.
In newer versions, instead of using $PWD to locate its ressource files,
Refind now refers to the dir containing $0.
This causes runtime errors due to missing ressources.
In lieu a wrapper binary, we now simply patch the variable 'RefindDir'
which stores the path to the ressource dir.
